Ascendion, a leader in digital innovation, seamlessly blends human creativity with the transformative power of generative AI. Known for its forward-thinking approach and dedication to collaboration, Ascendion empowers clients and communities to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This commitment to innovation and unity is reflected in their events, which serve as platforms for connection and inspiration.​​

​For Ascendion’s golf networking event, the theme “Progress Isn’t a Straight Line” was developed to reflect the dynamic, non-linear nature of growth. The visual concept, inspired by layered storytelling similar to Inception (2010), directed by Christopher Nolan, depicted progress as a dynamic journey. This approach was crafted to offer a literal yet captivating representation of the theme, portraying progress as a journey that twists and turns rather than a direct path.

The two-part composition featured two interconnected perspectives: a front view and an aerial view, symbolising advancement with subtle complexity, capturing the viewer’s attention and encouraging deeper engagement with the concept.
This design approach not only mirrored Ascendion’s aesthetic but also emphasised their unique perspective on growth and innovation, sparking engagement and reflection among attendees.
​Building on this foundation, the visuals were reimagined using AI-driven techniques to enhance the storytelling and streamline the creative process. Employing the AI platform Midjourney, multiple perspectives and angles were generated for each visual element, bringing depth and vibrancy to the concept.
These AI-generated images were then refined in Photoshop, blending elements to create cohesive, impactful visuals that stayed true to the theme of progress.

​To offer flexibility and adaptability across various event collaterals and formats, multiple creative routes were developed. Each route explored different locations and seasons, maintaining the core theme while providing a diverse range of options for the client to select from.


This approach ensured that the visuals could seamlessly adapt to any collateral, from banners and standees to digital assets, while maintaining consistency and impact.

​The final designs effectively communicated the idea that progress is rarely linear—it is a journey shaped by multiple perspectives and experiences. This project underscores the potential of combining AI-driven tools with creative vision to deliver designs that are not only visually striking but also conceptually profound, aligning perfectly with Ascendion’s innovative ethos.
