Murals

Murals are a unique way to transform spaces, injecting energy, creativity, and thought-provoking visuals into their surroundings.

They have been an essential part of artistic expression, bridging the gap between immersive art and storytelling.

Here are some of the key mural projects that have helped create lasting impressions through visual art.

DIAMOND VEINS [LIGHT-REACTIVE MURAL]

ZENSCIENCES ART & TECH FESTIVAL 2023

For Zensciences Art & Tech Festival 2023, I had the opportunity to create a light-reactive immersive mural that fused the worlds of art and technology. The concept was rooted in the exploration of physics and colour theory, aiming to engage viewers in an interactive experience that allowed them to physically engage with the mural's changing patterns.

After months of research, experimenting with materials and understanding the execution process, I created a mural that transformed, offering a unique experience for every individual. The mural became a key highlight of the festival, showcasing the endless possibilities when art meets technology, while also giving the viewer a chance to engage in a new kind of visual experience.

CTRL+Z

SRISHTI INSTITUTE OF ART, DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY

The N3 campus, also known as the Foundation Building, was where all first-year B.Des students at Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology began their creative journey. It was a place of convergence, where students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines came together to explore their passion for art and design. The experience was centred around unlearning previous knowledge and approaching design with a fresh perspective, marking the start of an exciting creative journey.

To understand the significance of the building and what the mural should convey, I spoke with the Dean of Foundation. From these conversations, the concept of "CTRL + Z = UNDO" emerged, symbolising the idea of a fresh start and the limitless potential that comes with embracing new possibilities.

This mural, placed in a space where first-year students began their design journey, served as a visual reminder of the courage and freedom required to explore, experiment, and grow in a creative environment.

SIX CRICKET ACADEMY

PADUKONE DRAVID CENTRE FOR SPORTS EXCELLENCE

At the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence (CSE), I collaborated on a mural designed to inspire young athletes at the Six Cricket Academy. The mural’s theme focused on “gully cricket” (street cricket), a fundamental part of every Indian sportsperson's early journey.

This vibrant depiction of the street game highlighted the roots of cricket in India, where most professional players begin their careers. The mural aimed to motivate children, showcasing how the street game teaches essential skills, determination, and teamwork, encouraging them to believe in their potential as they step onto the professional path.

As part of the spatial design unit at Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology, this project was a collaborative effort, blending the creative energy of multiple minds. The result was a mural that reflected both the essence of sports and the perseverance required to excel, delivering an inspiring message to all who interacted with it.
