
This project explored the creation of a thoughtful packaging design for a jasmine-scented candle. With complete creative freedom in choosing the product, a calming, aromatic candle emerged as an ideal choice, offering the chance to craft a packaging experience that evokes tranquillity.

The process began with a deep dive into competitor research, analysing market trends and identifying key elements that resonate within the scented candle industry. This step helped shape a mood board, capturing the minimalist, refined aesthetic sought for the final design.​

Once the mood board was established, the physical structure of the packaging was finalised, and a prototype was developed to ensure the box's dimensions complemented the candle’s form.
For the design, a pastel green colour was selected to convey a soothing, natural vibe—reflecting both the jasmine scent and the sense of calm that candles provide. This colour palette aimed to make the product visually inviting and create an instant sense of serenity.
To further enhance the experience, hand-illustrated jasmine flowers were incorporated into the design, subtly conveying the fragrance within and adding a delicate, personal touch.
To add depth, faint wisps were included in the background, subtly representing the gentle waft of candle smoke, while also introducing a layer of softness and movement to the layout.


The packaging layout was completed with carefully positioned product details, balancing aesthetic appeal with functionality to ensure essential information was both accessible and harmonious within the design.
The overall approach was to create a minimalist, delicate package that would appeal to the senses and convey the quality and elegance of the product.
